ThermiTight Skin Tightening Dallas
As we age, we lose collagen and elastin in our skin causing it to loosen and sag. This is usually best seen in the neck, jaw line, arms and tummy. In the past, the ‘remedy’ boiled down to surgery to ‘lift’ things back into place or trying the latest and greatest non-surgical gadget that over-promised and failed to deliver. Light-based treatments like lasers and intense pulsed light (IPL) don’t penetrate tissues deeply enough to get desired skin tightening without damaging the skin surface.
With ThermiTight®, these areas can be corrected. ThermiTight™ offers a new minimally invasive option using radiofrequency technology with subdermal heating to lift, tighten, and rejuvenate the abdomen, arms, and other body areas, including love handles.
SINGLE TREATMENT SOLUTION FOR SKIN LAXITY
What is ThermiTight?
ThermiTight is the first aesthetic procedure, which delivers controlled thermal energy under the skin to reverse the effects of aging. It is a temperature controlled radio-frequency (RF) device used to tighten, smooth, and sculpt the skin. ThermiTight is proven safe for all skin types.
ThermiTight is a micro-invasive procedure, which usually takes less than one hour. Thermi RF is revolutionary as it delivers radiofrequency energy directly to where it needs to go. A thin probe is placed beneath the skin through a small needle puncture. The probe is then directed into to the exact tissues that need to be tightened and administers the radiofrequency energy in this precise manner. Thermi RF for this reason is sometimes referred to as injectable RF (radiofrequency).
Patients typically return to their normal daily routines right away. Results are immediate: your skin will look and feel tighter and smoother and will continue to improve for months with long lasting results.
ThermiTight is ideal for patients who want more results than non-invasive procedures can deliver and DO NOT want surgery. It’s great for problem areas of the face, neck, tummy and thighs. Clinical studies have shown ThermiTight is safe and effective.
Possible treatment areas include:
- Arms (“batwings”)
- Love Handles
- Post Pregnancy Stomach Wrinkling
- Axillary hyperhidrosis (excessive under arm sweating)
What’s the downtime?
ThermiTight is a micro-invasive procedure performed using local anesthesia. Patients may experience slight swelling and redness and are usually able to return to normal activity within 24 hours.
How long does it last?
ThermiTight is a single treatment solution which produces a three-dimensional improvement in the appearance of skin laxity, The effects have been shown to last several years.
Does it hurt?
We take measures to make the experience as pleasant as possible and the treatment is customized for each patient. Patients are relaxed and comfortable during the procedure.

What is ThermiTight?ThermiTight is the first aesthetic procedure, which delivers controlled thermal energy under the skin to reverse the effects of aging. ThermiTight is a minimally invasive method to tighten loose skin and deeper tissues. It is commonly used in the neck and lower face to lift the jowls and the neck.
Is ThermiTight a laser?ThermiTight is not a laser. Unlike RF energy, Laser energy is absorbed by the pigment in the skin’s surface, the RF energy stimulates the production of collagen (which supports the skin) from within. ThermiRF can be used to tighten the skin of the face, neck, back, chest and arms. ThermiRF is the first aesthetic therapy with temperature control. This means the clinician can set the desired temperature and deliver the therapy reducing risk of burns to the patient.
Who is the typical patient for ThermiTight?ThermiTight is ideal for patients who want more results than non-invasive procedures can deliver and DO NOT want surgery.
What are the target areas for ThermiTight?ThermiTight is great for problem areas of the face, neck, tummy, arms, thighs and other tissues (i.e. bra fat, love handles).
How does ThermiTight work?In the past, the RF energy was delivered through transducers over the skin. Since the skin is very sensitive to heat, the amount of energy that can be delivered is limited. ThermiTight is innovative in that it completely bypasses the outer portion of the skin and delivers the RF energy from below. A tiny probe is inserted under the skin; then, radiofrequency energy is applied directly to the target tissues causing immediate shrinkage. This allows for optimal heating of the deep tissues without causing any damage to the overlying skin. Temperatures to the deep tissue can be reached that were never possible before with older technology.
Are there any incisions? No. ThermiTight is performed through small needle punctures by the ears and under the chin. The ThermiTight probe is inserted through these areas and threaded underneath the skin. Sutures are not necessary. For this reason, ThermiTight is often referred to injectable RF.
How long does the procedure take? The entire procedure is typically done in less than an hour depending on the protocol and the treatment zone.
Does ThermiTight hurt? No. ThermiTight is commonly performed under local anesthesia. Dr. Light will perform an anesthetic block of the area to be treated and you will be comfortable throughout the procedure. Some patients take a mild sedative to relax them during the procedure. IV sedation is also available upon request. Swelling and bruising is likely; adhering to aftercare instructions will minimize these effects.
Will I have pain after the procedure? Most patients have minimal to no discomfort after the procedure. Any discomfort can be treated with Tylenol (Acetaminophen). Rarely will any stronger pain medications be necessary.
How long will I be swollen?Patients may experience slight swelling and redness and are usually able to return to normal activity within 24 hours. Generally, swelling lasts from 3 to 7 days after the procedure.
How long before I see results? Results can be immediate and improve over time. ThermiTight works by heating the skin and deeper tissues. This induces your body to create tightening in those area. Most patients start to see results in 30 days after the procedure but the results will continue over the next several months. In about 3 months most of the results are seen, but they can continue to improve for about one year after the procedure.
How many treatments will I need?ThermiTight only requires one treatment
How long will my ThermiTight results last?ThermiTight causes permanent tightening to the areas being treated. While, the results are permanent, the aging process is not stopped.
What makes ThermiTight safe?During the procedure the ThermiRF device has an internal thermistor that monitors the temperature and maintains it at the level set by Dr. Light. This varies depending upon the area being treated. In addition to the internal temperature, an infrared thermal camera is used to monitor the temperature of your skin. This allows for effective treatment of the skin and also serves as a safety mechanism. If the temperature starts to rise above the desired levels, the machine is shut off. This makes ThermiTight very safe.
Is ThermiTight a substitute for a facelift?ThermiTight is a non-surgical alternative to a facelift/necklift, but at this time there is no equivalent non-surgical substitute for a facelift. The best treatment to correct loose jowls and a hanging neck is a facelift and neck lift surgery. ThermiTight is an in-between procedure performed on patients that may not yet be ready for a facelift/necklift or patients that do not want to have a surgical procedure.
Can I combine ThermiTight with other procedures?ThermiTight can be combined with other cosmetic procedures such as liposuction. Liposuction is frequently combined for the treatment of excess fat.
Who should not receive ThermiTight?Although ThermiTight RF treatments can be used safely on nearly all patients, those with extremely loose skin or sagging of the deeper fascia layer may require surgery such as a face lift.
How much does ThermiTight cost? The cost of ThermiTight varies according to the areas being treated. To learn more, please request a consultation with us.
